Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ClearPix ("we", "us") collects when you use www.clearpix.xyz (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: your images never leave your device, we don't ask you to create an account, and the Site shows ads from Google, which uses cookies.

1. Your images

All image tools on the Site (the upscaler, background remover, format converter and image to SVG converter) run entirely in your web browser. When you choose a file, it is read and processed on your own device. Your images are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store or share them. Closing or reloading the page discards them.

To make the AI tools work, your browser downloads the AI model files from the Site the first time you use them (about 5 MB for the upscaler and 44 MB for the background remover) and keeps them in its cache. These files contain no personal information.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) receives technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose problems, and is kept only for a limited period under the hosting provider's own policies.

We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage. The Site uses:

• Preference storage: if you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name "theme". It never leaves your device.
• Advertising cookies: set by Google and its partners to show and measure ads, as described in section 4.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not stop the image tools from working.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Site uses Google AdSense to show ads, which help keep the tools free. Please note:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
• If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less related to your interests.

5. Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites, for example a page where you can leave an optional tip. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. Cryptocurrency tip addresses shown on the Site are public addresses; we receive no personal information when you view them.

6. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we don't run accounts or collect images, we usually hold no personal information about visitors. For data held by Google for advertising, use the controls in section 4. For anything else, email us and we will respond within the time required by law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site.
