Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to your use of ClearPix (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. The service

The Site provides free image tools, including an AI upscaler, a background remover, a format converter and an image to SVG converter. The tools run in your web browser and process images on your own device. We may change, add or remove tools at any time, and we do not guarantee that the Site will always be available.

2. Your images and your responsibility

You keep all rights to the images you process. Because processing happens on your device, we do not receive, store or claim any rights in your images.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use and modify any image you process, and that your use of the results complies with the law and with the rights of others, including copyright, trademark and privacy rights. Do not use the Site to create content that is illegal, deceptive or that infringes anyone's rights, for example altering images to impersonate a person or to remove watermarks from images you do not own.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• interfere with the Site, its servers or its security, or try to gain unauthorised access to them;
• use automated means to download the Site's AI model files or content in bulk in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Site;
• copy, resell or republish the Site or its written content as your own;
• use the Site in any way that breaks applicable laws.

4. Results and AI output

The tools use automated processing and AI models, which can make mistakes. An upscaled image may contain detail that was not in the original, a cutout may miss or include parts of the background, and a traced SVG may differ from the source. Always check results before relying on them, particularly for print, commercial or legal use.

5. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text and code are owned by ClearPix or its licensors. Open-source components and AI models used by the Site remain subject to their own licences.

6. Advertising and third-party links

The Site shows ads provided by third parties such as Google, and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of advertisers or linked websites. How advertising cookies are used is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. No warranty

The Site is provided free of charge "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of original images; do not use the Site as your only copy of any file.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearPix is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
